Meet the Team

Our lead team of experienced photographers set a creative, ambitious dream for the premier photography club at the University of North Carolina


  • Founder

    From Ames, Iowa, Derek has been photographing for several years. He enjoys shooting sports and portraits, learning new techniques, and helping others. His favorite emoji is 🫡.


  • Marketing Director

    Emma Coye is a sophomore from the mountains of Brevard, North Carolina. She has been photographing for the past three years and enjoys capturing the nature and people around her. When Emma decides to use emojis, she typically uses this one 🤪.


  • Finance Director

    Anna Jane Baum is a current sophomore from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She enjoys exploring black & white film photography and using digital cameras. Though not an avid emoji user, she typically defaults to 👀.


  • Vice President

    Hailing from Stamford, Connecticut, John is a relatively new photographer with a year and a half experience under his belt. He loves exploring the fast paced yet creative opportunities of street photography. John doesn’t really use emojis, but when he does, 👺is his favorite one.


  • Event Director

    Marco Passalacqua is a current sophomore student from Greenville, North Carolina. He is relatively new to photography, as he has been practicing for just about a year now. Marco enjoys many styles of photography, but he finds the most pleasure in street and travel photography whenever he goes somewhere interesting. In case you were wondering, his favorite emoji is 😁.
